Personal Statement
Choosing to see a therapist can often be anxiety-provoking, so I work hard to provide a supportive, non-judgmental, and affirming experience for clients. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in practice for over 19 years. I work with adults experiencing depression, life dissatisfaction, anxiety, relationship problems, stressful life changes, and GLBT issues, among other concerns. I assist clients in finding ways to improve their lives and increase life satisfaction. I accept insurance and am on numerous insurance panels.
I am generally a solution-focused psychologist, incorporating mindfulness training and cognitive-behavioral techniques into the therapeutic process. I actively work with clients to set goals that they would like to achieve, and look for solutions to help them achieve those goals.
I believe that I make clients feel comfortable quickly. I have a professional, non-judgmental manner that puts clients at ease, and I work hard to ensure a supportive, objective approach to my clients' needs.
