Personal Statement
Denise K. Ambre draws professional inspiration from helping clients overcome debilitating emotional problems and accomplish meaningful, sustainable change in their lives. As a psychotherapist and certified psychoanalyst, Denise employs a psychodynamic approach that meets each client at their own personal “starting line.” She then applies tailored treatment methods to help clients identify specific patterns of behavior and develop strategies for overcoming them.
“My goal as a therapist is to let clients share their unique stories in a safe, constructive environment,” she explained. “Creating a clearly defined space where they are comfortable exploring their feelings is the first step toward healing old wounds and finding a measure of inner peace.” Denise’s practice specialties include treating adults and adolescents struggling with depression, stress and anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, relationship concerns, and attachment issues. She also provides couples counseling, family therapy, and parenting support. Compassion and empathy characterize her approach to client treatment.

Many people also find that counselors can be a tremendous asset to managing personal growth, interpersonal relationships, family concerns, marriage issues, and the hassles of daily life. Therapists can provide a fresh perspective on a difficult problem or point you in the direction of a solution. The benefits you obtain from therapy depend on how well you use the process and put into practice what you learn.
