Personal Statement

Reaching out to a therapist can be a huge first step if you have never sought support before. There are many things to consider before choosing a therapist. Will this person be the right fit for me? Is this person competent and well trained? Can I trust this person with my inner most thoughts and feelings? The list goes on and on... As your therapist, I will support you by empathizing, validating, and normalizing your experiences.

I will offer you a safe space to discuss difficult issues that may arise through active listening, acceptance and non-judgment, and encouraging you by focusing on your strengths. It will be my privilege to walk alongside and witness your therapeutic journey as we find solutions to your concerns together.

I have over 6 years of experience working with adolescents and their families through various local outpatient mental health agencies including Big Brothers Big Sisters, The Canopy Center, and Briarpatch. My educational background consists of a Masters of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy obtained here in Madison.
