Personal Statement

I have been helping clients recover from grief and loss for more than 20 years, using a compassionate and effective approach that includes talk therapy as well as proven behavioral techniques that can help clients feel a significant improvement in their symptoms.

Grief is a normal, adaptive process that no one goes through life avoiding, however many work harder to minimize or deny their losses than they do to understand them, their meaning, and how even the most deeply felt grief can ultimately lead to improved self awareness and growth.

I specialize in the treatment of both normal and complicated grief, as well as helping those who are in transition with their sexuality, lifestyle choices and/or their significant relationships. Very often, this loss is understood over time as playing an integral role in the choices we make, the obstacles we encounter/overcome, and deciding who/what we no longer need in our lives as well as who/what we will benefit from adding.
