Personal Statement

My name is Carol Williams and I am a therapist who is able to deeply connect research knowledge, observation, and lived experience to produce wisdom that understands what is not said when trying to express the inexpressible.

There are different types and levels of trauma; but within its essence, trauma is the unexpected "chaos" (loss of control) to our everyday order (expected control). Whether it is the earthshattering changes caused by the death of loved ones; divorce, addiction, or job loss, the common struggle is learning how to see life with different lenses while staying anchored to everyday duties. Unaddressed traumas turn into suffering from the pain of the past; the discomfort of the present and uncertainty of the future. I will work hard with you to understand the emotions, thoughts, and fears that accompany the steps of transformation.
