Personal Statement

I treat adults, teens and children. I offer Saturday and evening hours to accommodate your busy schedule. I specialize in anxiety disorders, trauma, couples therapy and sex/love addiction (affair recovery, porn addiction, serial affairs). I have extensive training in the field of cognitive behavior therapy, the "gold standard" in treating anxiety disorders.

I have post-graduate training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, a researched-based couples therapy with high success rate. The field of sex addiction is relatively new. I have extensive training to help individuals deal with this important area. My husband and I are the only Certified Sex Addiction Professionals in Falls Church.

I love helping children who are experiencing anxiety, grief, and/or trauma. Using cognitive therapy, play therapy and EMDR, children find relief from their symptoms. I help children learn tools to manage their feelings. I work with parents to learn how to help their children manage whatever life problem they are experiencing.

Barnabas, my wonderful golden retriever, is our office's therapy dog. He helps to welcome people to my office and sits with us during sessions.
