Personal Statement

My philosophy of treatment focuses on helping each individual to recognize his/her own potential for change and growth. I combine a variety of tested psychological approaches with a faith-based perspective, assisting clients in using their own faith system, history, and personality to move through the healing process.

Ann Allison Akin’s philosophy of treatment uses a combination of tested psychological methods, while integrating a faith-based perspective. She assists clients in using their own faith system, history and personality to move through the healing process. She believes that hope can be born out of therapeutic conversations, giving clients a guide to forming a path toward a healthier life.
