Personal Statement

Alice Locke-Chezar, principal of Palo Alto Parenting Solutions, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR), who understands that each behavior we see from a child has a feeling behind it and each feeling is a clue to the puzzle of emotions driving their behavior.

Palo Alto Parenting Solutions is a specialty practice focusing on therapeutic work with children, teens and families who struggle with behavioral, social and emotional difficulties. Adoption, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, HF/ASD.

My passion, working with children and families struggling with emotional and behavioral issues, is informed by my personal experience as a parent of special needs children, and my years of professional training and clinical experience. I am experienced working with children, adolescents and their parents and collaborating with psychiatrists, pediatricians, behavior specialists and other professionals on behalf of my clients.

My years working with children, and adolescents with developmental, learning and emotional differences working for the Palo Alto Unified School District, and Family and Children Services of Palo Alto, in clinic and on SF Bay Area school campuses, plus years of advocating for my own children, makes me uniquely positioned to help my clients.
